I have been a wrestling fan for many years, starting in the days of the Monday Night Wars between WWE and WCW. Since moving to Cleveland in 2010, I have begun watching WWE again, and started working with the locally televised Prime Wrestling. I attended Impact! Wrestling’s TV taping at Wolstein Center 2 weeks ago, and tonight I am headed to The Q for WWE Monday Night Raw.
Did You Know? That WWE Monday Night Raw is the longest running episodic television show in history?
At last night’s Night Of Champions Pay-Per-View, WWE Superstar and consistent underdog Daniel Bryan won the WWE Championship from Randy Orton. It was an exciting moment in the history of professional wrestling, and an exciting moment for me as a fan. The moment was made even more special because I had already booked an interview with Daniel Bryan for today! I’ll be completely honest, after watching Bryan’s big victory last night, my mind was racing and I got very little sleep last night. Questions were swirling through my mind, and frankly, excitement over meeting the man I watch on TV every week.
When Daniel arrived at the CBS Radio studios downtown, we immediately struck up conversation. What a super nice guy! We walked around the building saying hi to my co-workers and made our way to the New 102 production studio for our sit down interview. Check it out!
You can catch Daniel Bryan as part of the reality series Total Divas on E!, and on WWE’s weekly programs. You can also catch WWE Monday Night Raw live and in person tonight at Quicken Loans Arena, tickets are still available here.
